Starling flock above West Pier
Brighton, East Sussex, England
"Every evening the starlings congregate on Brighton's derelict West Pier. Small flocks would arrive first, from all directions, but before settling down for the night, the whole gathering would perform the most wonderful acrobatic displays. They were like iron filings in a magnetised sky. A slow shutter speed and the muted, winter light gave an Impressionistic feel to the composition."
