Track through Kanha meadows in dawn mist

"The early mornings can be surprisingly cold during the winter in Kanha. The meadow valleys act as cold sinks and at dawn in January there was sometimes frost on the long grasses. The meadows are particularly atmospheric at this time of the day with the resonant alarm calls of chitals, peacocks and langur monkeys and the primeval rutting calls of barasingha stags sounding through the morning mist."
